Academics
surpassing standards

Our curriculums reflect standards that
exceed NY State requirements and our
teachers utilize methods of teaching
that encourage students to actively participate in the classroom. This creates a learning environment where all students can excel. Most importantly, we understand that leadership and character are not measured by tests alone. Virtue builds courageous hearts and minds to be the leaders of tomorrow.

Community
inspired by charity

Service is an essential component to our
thriving learning environment. Our students take knowledge they learn in the classroom and compassion that has been formed in their hearts and, with their hands, bring it out into our local and global communities.

An Education that Shines

Erin Burroughs, Auburn catholic school parent

I believe that St. Joseph School encourages good moral values and faith in every aspect of the learning.  My children have learned to love their faith and discuss their beliefs openly with their peers.  Additionally, I feel that St. Joseph School is an environment where a parent’s voice can be heard and where parent involvement is encouraged.  These are two areas that I feel set us apart from most of our area schools.

Bishop matano's homily on the feast of the ephiphany

"...St. Joseph School & Tyburn Academy: these schools dedicated to the holistic development of the human person; mind, body, heart, and soul will be strong Catholic educational institutions and they will work cooperatively, in collaboration, one with the other, to ensure the strong Catholic educational system in Auburn. For we must be always mindful of those coming after us....I hope you understand how deeply committed I am to these schools."
